The I DON’T F*CKING KNOW CLUB: A Theatre, Rave, and Live Film Event Explores the Mental State of Young Adults
September 20, 2024, Wibar
On September 20th, 2024, Wibar will be the venue for an unprecedented event that blends theatre, rave, and live filmmaking to shine a light on a critical issue: the mental state of young adults and their quest for connection, exhilaration, and escape within the rave scene. Welcome to the I DON’T F*CKING KNOW CLUB.
A Night of Immersive Storytelling: Theatre
In the theatre segment, the narrative follows Menex, Sophronis, and Lampron as they dive into the night to party, hoping to momentarily forget the pressures weighing them down. They grapple with societal expectations and pressure to define their identities, education, careers, relationships, and future plans. As the night progresses, this intensifies their fear of not knowing, leading to escapist, manic behaviors and impulsive choices.
A Multimedia Experience: Live Film
During the performance, a camera crew will film the actors, with live projections on venue screens. Actors will perform among the audience, creating an authentic rave atmosphere. The footage shot will be used for a future film, including trailers and other promotional materials. By attending, participants consent to being filmed and understand their recognizable visibility in the final cut and related products. Dance the Night Away: Rave
Following the theatre performance and live filming, the night transitions into a rave, in collaboration with Current Concepts, known for events like Basement and PANDORA. The main area will feature an electronic music lineup, while the upstairs area offers a diverse side program with various performances and acts.
